Qasr al Touqan-inner court

Nella grata in fondo al centro, delle simpatiche caprette. Ora, immaginate questo posto tornare alla vita. Una volta luminosa coprire le stanze, ed il cielo riflettersi nell`acqua della fontana al centro, gli uccelli cantare, la vita di tutti i giorni...

[ENG] Another shot of the Touqan Palace (qasr, in arabic). Behind the grid in the wall you could see some lovely goats (they must have been 5 or 6).
Now, try to picture yourself this place coming back to life. A light and well lit vault covering the rooms, the sky reflecting in the waters of the fountain in the middle, birds singing in the treetops of the neighbouring park, everyday life going on...

THIS IS SOOOOO WRONG! Aw man...I barely made it. Exactly 7 days after my visit, the family that now lives near the entrance of the palace (don't know if they are touqans) demolished the 200 years old steps leading to the court you see in the picture, destroying one of the few things with historical significance in Nablus, and I mean BEYOND REPAIR, dumping the debris in a near (and equally ancient and beautiful) fountain. Jeeez! All because they don't want foreigners in the courtyard. I mean, people would have PAID them if they only asked, to visit the place. But if you don't want them (how many visitors? 10 every month?) just put a bloody sign in english/arabic that says

"PLEASE, NO VISITORS ALLOWED WITHIN THE COMPLEX" and the nail 3 fucking boards together to bar the entrance.

Man, this is so much pissing me...
